The course description
Doctoral students will learn about the full-text and bibliographic databases available at BME, how to use them to map their research area and how to access the literature and data sources they need for their research.

Outcome
- Overview of full-text databases available at BME, demonstration of the use of a selected database in practice (search methods, filtering, automatic alerts),
- Review of international reference and bibliographic databases (Web of Science, Scopus, Dimensions), demonstration of the use of a selected database in practice (mapping of literature in the field, automatic collection of references),
- Review of science metrics (impact factor, Scimago ranking, H-index)
