Doctoral students will learn about the full-text and bibliographic databases available at BME, how to use them to map their research area and how to access the literature and data sources they need for their research.

• Review of international reference and bibliographic databases (Web of Science, Scopus, Dimensions), demonstration of the use of a selected database in practice (mapping of literature in the field, automatic collection of references),
• Review of science metrics (impact factor, Scimago ranking, H-index)
